Funny Drifters skit
Here's a funny skit from Shimura Ken and Kato Cha of the Drifters, a classic Japanese comedy group. Their stuff tends to be brilliantly ridiculous, beautifully stupid, and very, very funny. A lot of it goes beyond language, so it's possible to enjoy it without understanding exactly what they are saying. This is a fine example.
The premise of this bit is that a director (Shimura Ken) is shooting a short fight scene in a samurai movie. A new extra (Kato Cha) comes on the set, ready to film his part, which is nothing more than a momentary battle with the hero ending in the extra's death. They're all speaking Japanese, but somehow something gets lost in translation between the director and the extra.
